ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
Dr. Guido will share the story of a journey having to do with his personal and professional experience in managing his own Bipolar Disorder and that of his patients. He will speak of his long-held belief in the importance of establishing a richly personal therapeutic alliance with patients and the positive outcomes to which that has often led. He will discuss brain research on genetic DNA defects related to Bipolar conditions.
By the conclusion of the presentation, attendees will be able to:
- Articulate the value of focusing more on patients' inner resources and less on the symptom picture;
- Describe positive outcomes in the treatment of patients with Bipolar Disorder;
- Provide numerous examples of achievement among those afflicted with Bipolar Disorder;
- Enumerate the contributions of researchers who have traced the genetic DNA defects associated with Bipolar Disorders;
- Demonstrate their understanding of the cluster of mental disorders within the DNA analysis of defective chromosomes.
